CPU Math MARK 3.0 official release!

News, and Updates
| 25/08/01 | Bhunta

Well it's been exactly a month since I last touched this page. I have been quite busy and I admit felt like taking a break. This program is not dead and I'll let you know I have a very respectable programmer from Intel (Francois Piednoel) working with us providing optimizations for Pentium 4 (so far). He has also pointed out to me several valid points that would make the benchmark run faster and more flawlessly. Someone from AMD may also be providing optimizations for their processors, but no word on this yet. I would like to welcome Francois to the team!

More Delays... | 22/07/01 | Bhunta

My mail provider's server has been down for about a full 24hrs and still is down. This basically making it impossible to release for tomorrow, as it is the main link for exchange of info/files. This completely threw off our release date as planned. It is basically complete now except for the new baseline results which probably have been in my mailbox for the past 20hrs. As soon as my mails back up, it will be released!

Official Release Date | 18/07/01 | Bhunta

The beta is in all your mailbox's. Turns out I have to bump the official release date of CPUMathMark 3.0 'till Monday. This is for various reasons, which I will not bother mentioning. Anyway thanks to all who have help thus far and I could still use some bench results from various system configs if you want to, email me. Thanks for your patience.

News, and updates | 20/06/01 | Bhunta

Exams are over, and now I have two months of freedom (other than work)
Work is being undertaken on CPUMathMark 3.0.. expect a release by the end of the month, or VERY early next month. Andries Engelbrecht aka 'Castle Lager Fan' is joining the team and he will be converting the Visual Basic math routines into a dll compiled in C, giving faster, more accurate results. I'm also working on a live top 5 score database but it may or may not be included in the next release.. If you want to be a beta testor, email me, and I'll be in touch. Also I was recently emailed by PCJapan, and they are planning on introducing CPUMathMark 2.1 in their magazine, and include it on their CD. Could be a take-off for this benchmark, which sounds good :)

AMD 760MP chipset released | 6/06/01 | Bhunta

*Sorry this news is a little late. Freeservers was down for when I tried to update it

AMD conquers yet another spot in the processor war. Their first multi-processor platform proves to run faster than Dual Intel Xeon's. How many more hits like this can intel take?

"Less than a month ago Intel announced their new Xeon processor and today AMD takes away any reason to purchase that very platform. Intel can continue this game of pretending that AMD isn't a threat, but the truth of the matter is that they are and they happen to be a very big one."
"The choice is simple; the AMD 760MP is the DP workstation and server platform to have"

Minor page updates | 24/05/01 | Bhunta

As the title suggests. Exams are soon, as a result I won't have a lot of time to do much of anything. Work will soon start on something else, but CPU Math Mark won't fade away completely.

Updates |17/05/01 | Bhunta

There will soon be another release of CPUMathMARK. The release date is set for Saturday, May 19th although this might change. All the features offered should work fine, and all bugs should be fixed (mainly it will now display processor type for intel processors under windows NT/2000/XP. You will also see more baselines added in this one. In other news, Ziraku is apparently alive, he just lost half his hard drive because of a phantom that goes around his house unplugging computers.

Sorry I couldn't get everyones name in the text file that comes with the program.. things were a little rushed. I'll soon compile a list of all the people that helped out :)

CPUMathMARK v.2.0 = soon |12/05/01 | Bhunta

Well I am not working alone on this one. Rafael Rivera is with me on the next release. CPUMathMARK v. 2.0 is looking good already, with a whole new layout / GUI (the work of rafael). I also added in a few minor changes, and weeded out some bugs. Here is a small list of changes to expect in the upcoming release.
Expect the release to be within the next 2 or 3 days.. depends when Rafael gets back to me.
- Totally new GUI
- Displays more system info, with less bugs
- Work's correcly with every 32-bit version of windows to date. (yes NT 4.0 now works)
- Display's processor speed in all versions of Windows
- More baselines??

CPUMathMARK fixes well under way |10/05/01 | Bhunta

Any of you Windows NT 4.0 users out there get "error, error, error" in the info fields? Well me and a friend Bahadir Bilir worked on this problem and finally solved a quite funny problem actaully... I am also in the works of changing several other prospects of the program. A few other minor things will be fixed/changed, and perhaps even a few new features.. We'll just see what happens. It probably won't be this week, with school, work, and other stuff, but perhaps early next week.

CPUMathMARK Info.. |09/05/01 | Bhunta

Hello.. I've received a couple of emails about the problem of my program not retrieving info about their system properly in Windows NT 4.0. This appears to be a problem that is quite easy to fix, and has been noted. If you have a Intel Pentium 4 based system, or high end AMD Athlon T-bird (1.2Ghz or so) I would be more than happy if you sent your mark (screenshot). I need more high end sytems added to the baseline list. Anyway thanks for all the feedback, and be assured your suggestions will be the outcome of my next release of this program. If you want to try something with my program, the source is now available in my 31337ware section, but the official release of the source won't be for a few days.. :)

CPUMathMARK Version 1.0 ahh Re-released |04/05/01 | Bhunta

What does the title say? I added a basefline, and now the benchmark baselines are ALL up to date. That'd be all. Oh yeah, my school caught fire today. Don't go back until tuesday. And stuff.

CPUMathMARK Version 1.0 Released! |03/05/01 | Bhunta

The first official release of my benchmarking program is released. I havn't updated in nearly a month.. because I havn't had the free time. But I'll get you know this web site is still here, and wil be updated every once in awhile. I'm thinking of putting my benchmark program 'Public' soon, so it might get popular. Please help me out and report a bug in the program if you find one! Also email be suggestions. I had about 5 friends test it, but there are other opinions out there. Download CPUMathMARK here.
